Alex actually takes the time to do the job right, which I appreciate. From the first day Alex has been professional and reliable. He treats my yard with care even down to the edging around the fences. The yard looks great with stripes going both ways, and an even uniform cut. Alex takes pride in his work, which seems hard to find these days.

Process
How we do it
- 1.
Round 1: Early spring
Pre-emergent crabgrass control plus a light fertilizer to kick the lawn out of dormancy. Timed to the soil temperature, not the calendar (usually late April in our area).
- 2.
Round 2: Late spring
Slow-release nitrogen feed and broadleaf weed control on dandelions and clover. This is the round that gets your lawn that deep green going into June.
- 3.
Round 3: Mid-summer
Lighter nitrogen rate to avoid burning the lawn during heat stress, plus iron for color. We may skip granular and use a foliar feed if it's been a brutally hot July.
- 4.
Round 4: Fall
The most important application. Heavy nitrogen, optional overseeding on thin spots, and a winterizer to set up roots for spring. This is what makes next year good.

Lawn Treatments: common questions
Are the products safe for kids and pets?
Yes. We use granular EPA-registered products and ask that you keep pets and kids off the treated lawn for 2 hours (or until the next watering). Liquid applications stay off until they dry.
Can I just buy the bag and do it myself?
Sure, but the timing is the hard part. Pre-emergent has to go down before the soil hits 55°F, and most homeowners miss that window. We watch soil temps for every property on our route.
What if I already get mowing from someone else?
Treatments work fine as a standalone service. You don't need to use us for mowing to get on the treatment program.
How much does it cost?
Depends on lawn size. A typical quarter-acre lot is in the range a homeowner would expect for a quality four-round program. We quote per property after measuring it.
