Alex actually takes the time to do the job right, which I appreciate. From the first day Alex has been professional and reliable. He treats my yard with care even down to the edging around the fences. The yard looks great with stripes going both ways, and an even uniform cut. Alex takes pride in his work, which seems hard to find these days.
Shrub & Bush Trimming
Tidy hedges, no ragged edges.
We hand-shape shrubs and hedges so they actually look balanced from the curb. Not the buzz-cut-everything approach a lot of crews take.

Process
How we do it
- 1.
Walk the property with you
First visit, we walk every shrub and hedge with you (or virtually if you're not home) to confirm shape, height, and how aggressive you want the cut.
- 2.
Power trim for bulk
We use power trimmers for the bulk of the work, then switch to hand shears for any detail areas where the shape really matters.
- 3.
Clean every clipping
Every leaf and branch goes into the truck. No piles left in beds, no clippings ground into the lawn.
Seasonal timing
When this service runs
Most shrubs get one or two trims a year. The big window is late June (after the spring growth flush) and a tidy-up in early September. Spring-flowering shrubs (lilac, forsythia) wait until right after they bloom so we don't cut off next year's flowers.

Shrub & Bush Trimming: common questions
What about flowering shrubs?
We time trims to the plant. Spring-flowering shrubs get trimmed right after they bloom; summer-blooming ones can be done late winter or early spring. Tell us what you have and we'll handle the timing.
Do you remove old shrubs entirely?
Yes. Full removal, including stump grinding for smaller shrubs, is part of what we do. For larger ornamentals or hardwoods, we may refer to a tree service.
I've let mine go for a few years. Can they be saved?
Most of the time, yes. Boxwoods, yews, and arborvitae can usually be brought back over 1–2 seasons of progressive cuts rather than one drastic chop.
